In case you haven’t noticed, we here at Monster Vintage love, um, vintage. But what stylish person doesn’t get a heart flutter when perusing (drooling over?) all the Fall runway shows? And when those fashions reference some of my favorite vintage styles and eras, all the better!
These are my favorite looks from Juliette Hogan’s F/W 2009 line. There is something so 40’s and 50’s and ladylike about these pieces- the fact that the line is called “Mind your manners…” doesn’t hurt- but the silhouettes and the styling are so modern!

While you go check out her site, I’m going to go but some leather gloves and learn how to mix prints. See ya! Sally
Designers Adi, Ange, and Gabi of threeASFOUR have collaborated with fashion icon (and all around classy broad) Yoko Ono for their Spring 2010 collection, which they will be showing this Thursday at Milk Studios. Items from the collection have been inspired by Yoko’s drawings, which threeASFOUR printed on to fabric to create what I’m sure will be some sartorial yumminess! The collection will coincide with the release of Yoko’s new album “Between My Head and the Sky,” which is out on September 22nd. Do you love it so far?
You can check out more behind-the-scenes photo action here and read more about threeASFOUR here.
Women always get the most runway time at fashion weeks. New York is wrapping up their Spring 2009 Fashion Week this weekend and I wanted to recap a few of the best men’s looks from the week.
After each high-fashion runway look, you’ll find similar vintage items from our website, along with their searchable item numbers (the original vintatge items, no doubt were inspiration for their couture cousins…).
Calvin Klein is well, classic. Looks like for Spring he’s loving feathery heather grays and piercing navy blues, both in an allover matching suit fashion (tie color matches button-up matches vest matches suit jacket matches pants).
And here’s some suits for sale from Monster Vintage you can add to your closet to replicate the latest runway trends:
William Rast is a Los Angeles, California based clothing company founded by Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala. Known for their premium jeans, the company showcased popular distressed jeans, vintage inspired cotton printed tees, luxury leather motorcycle jackets and gloves this week in New York City.
And here’s some currently available goodies for sale on Monstervintage.com. Mix and match them, put an outfit together and you’ll create an original vintage look similar to those shown by William Rast. Justin Timberlake is my hero.
